A minimum of two-hour sessions at a time are recommended to get to grips with the process or make good progress, but bookings can be flexible and arranged for times and dates that suit you. You can book a one-off taster session or book a number of hours and spread it across a few days or weeks.
For your throwing sessions you can choose to use stoneware or porcelain clay and activities can include getting to grips with centring on the wheel, throwing cups, bowls, jugs and plates, improving your techniques, turning/trimming vessels and adding handles.
The price includes clay, glazes and firings – make use of as much clay as you need in the session then choose up to three finished pieces per session to be glazed and fired at my studio.
Tea and biscuits will be provided, along with all equipment needed for your session.
Buy this as a gift for someone and I can send a voucher for the sessions to be arranged with the recipient.
Book sessions here and I’ll email you to arrange dates and times, or send me an email to find out more.

Resources:
The sessions include as much clay as you need for throwing, professional throwing tools and equipment, tea and biscuits, and full tuition from me. I have two Shimpo wheels and have ‘Audrey Blackman’ porcelain and ‘white fleck’ stoneware available to use. Additional pieces can be fired on request for a small additional cost. Finished pieces can be collected 8-10 weeks after the workshop date.

Location:
The sessions will be at my studio in Ditchling Common. The studio is less than 5 minutes drive from Burgess Hill or Ditchling, and there is free parking on site.
