Sessions:
Each session lasts for two and a half hours and can run in the morning or afternoon. Dates and times can be selected as options below.
A small additional firing cost is charged per kilo in additon to the session rate.
You can book a one-off taster session, though a minimum of two sessions is recommended to get allow time for turning your thrown pieces or to make good progress.
For your throwing sessions you can choose to use stoneware clay or porcelain and activities can include getting to grips with centring on the wheel, throwing cups, bowls, jugs and plates, improving your techniques, turning/trimming vessels and adding handles.
You can make use of as much clay as you need in the session, then for any pieces you choose to keep, there will be an additional glazing and firing charge of £12 per kilo. These pieces will be glazed for you in a choice of transparent or white satin glaze.
Tea and biscuits will be provided, along with all equipment needed for your session.

Resources:
The sessions include as much clay as you need for throwing, professional throwing tools and equipment, tea and biscuits, and full tuition from me. I have two Shimpo wheels and have John Beeston Potclays porcelain and white Earthstone stoneware available to use. Finished pieces can be collected 8-10 weeks after the workshop date.

Location:
The sessions will be at my studio in Ditchling Common. The studio is 5 minutes drive from Burgess Hill or Ditchling, and there is free parking on site.

Cancellation policy:
If you book a date and then need to rearrange more than four weeks before your session, I can offer a refund minus £10 admin fee. If you need to cancel less than four weeks beforre the session, cancellations fees will apply.
Cancellation fees are unfortunately necessary as it is rarely possible for me to fill the space at short notice.
All cancelations are subject to £10.00 payment processing/admin fee.
Additional cancelation fees on top of the £10.00 are;
If you cancel up to 30 days before the class – full refund
If you cancel between 30 and 14 days before the class – 80% refund.
If you cancel between 13 and 7 days before the class – 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 7 days before the start of the course cannot be refunded
If the participant fails to attend, the course fee cannot be refunded.
If I need to cancel for whatever reason I will offer an alternative date or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
