On The Ground (sculptural group)

This piece explores themes currently running through my work which focuses on how we interact with the rest of nature and how it interacts with us. The group of pieces are inspired by the idea of ‘the garden’. Managed garden spaces are often where we interact with nature and depending on how we work, can either be a fight or a dance – adding plants, removing others, cutting or picking foliage; encouraging some animals whilst discouraging others. Each of the pieces represents small elements in a garden, playing with scale and form, but open for the viewer to interpret.
