I offer 2-hr Friday afternoon sessions (1-3pm) throwing on the potter’s wheel at my studio on Ditchling Common, available to book per week with me for summer and autumn 2025.
There are two wheels available, so if you book a place it will either be just you, or you and another student if two book for the same session.
The session can be tailored to your requirements and can cover throwing using porcelain or stoneware clay .
The sessions are designed to be suitable for those new to porcelain who would like to explore this fabulous material, or for those wishing to improve their existing skills in porcelain or stoneware.
Sessions are held in my studio barn on Ditchling Common. Any finished pieces will be glazed and fired by Elaine at a later date, using simple glazes in use at the studio. Finished pieces can be collected 8-10 weeks after the workshop date.

Lunch is not included but tea and biscuits are provided.
Discounts are available for anyone looking to book more than four sessions. Please get in touch to arrange separately.
Cancellation policy: If you can’t make the date you’ve booked, let me know and I will try to offer a suitable alternative date for your session. Sessions may be cancelled by you for any reason up to 10 days before the session with a full refund. For cancellations within 10 days, where I am not able to fill your booking with someone else, a refund will be given, minus a cancellation fee of 25%. If I need to cancel the session for whatever reason I will contact you to offer a suitable alternative date or offer a full refund.
