I offer sessions in throwing on the potter’s wheel at my workshop on Ditchling Common, available to book with me for spring and summer 2025.
Workshops can be booked for a half day (10am – 1pm or 2pm – 5pm) or a full day (10am – 5pm), for one or two people.
The day’s session can be tailored to your requirements and can cover throwing on the potter’s wheel using porcelain or stoneware clay .
The sessions are designed to be suitable for beginners; those new to porcelain, or for those wishing to improve their existing skills.
Sessions are held in my studio barn on Ditchling Common. Any finished pieces will be glazed and fired by Elaine at a later date, using simple glazes in use at the studio. Finished pieces can be collected 8-10 weeks after the workshop date.
One-off and tailored sessions are usually available to book for Fridays but other options may be available. Please contact me via email to arrange a date, or if you’d like to find out more.
The price includes all firing and glazing of the pieces you make.
Lunch is not included but tea and biscuits are provided.
Discounts are available for anyone looking to book more than five half-day sessions. If you would like to arrange on-going or classes, please get in touch to arrange separately.
Cancellation policy: If you can’t make the date you’ve booked, let me know and I will try to offer a suitable alternative date for your session. Sessions may be cancelled by you for any reason up to 10 days before the session with a full refund. For cancellations within 10 days, where I am not able to fill your booking with someone else, a refund will be given, minus a cancellation fee of 25%. If I need to cancel the session for whatever reason I will contact you to offer a suitable alternative date or offer a full refund.
