Yarn Ball vessel speckled brown (small)

Inspired by balls of yarn and natural woven textiles, this piece is made from stoneware with oxides roughly mixed into the clay to give it a speckled finish with varying brown tones. The piece was thrown on the wheel and turned to form a rounded shape with a ridge across its horizon line. The piece is glazed with a white speckled glaze on the inside, leaving the outside with a smooth but slightly textured feel to the surface.
